Hi All, I am writing on behalf of a friend who wants to work his newly purchased Pactor 4 modem with Naviigatrix. So far we managed to connect sucessfully with bluetooth and also with USB, the modems show up as /dev/rfcomm0 (BT) oder /dev/ttyUSB0, also they are correctly linked as winedevices - com1 or something.

Nevertheless, the modem doesn't work with airmail. He gets an error message as follows:

Any thoughts?

Fair winds,
Christian

Sorry, apparently only I can acess this URL.
Here is another upload:

This is with bluetooth connected.

On further inquiry the USB to serial connection didn't get found at all (SetComState failed error). The right comport was selected though. Probably a driver issue? Module is the ftdi_sio.

Cheers, Christian

Can you try it with a cable connection ? Maybe this will solve it...bluetooth is very unstable sometimes and might even break due strong radio waves during radio transmission. I use a pactor III modem with USB cable and this works out of the box.
