Like you, I get an email.

There is a highlighted link in it...lovely green thing waiting to be clicked to take me to this fabulous location sent to me by a friend....and the bloody thing doesn't work.

Fix it with:

Opening the beloved Sylpheed email client.

Configuration>Common Preferences>>Details>External Commands


Change the Web browser line to fit.

Ok....and you're good to go.
