Moe is there a reason that the manual isn't live online?
I'm going over this program with a fine toothed comb & am finding I need to continually reboot into the USB stick to read the manual & then reboot into XP to look up given advice.
I saved the manual into 'downloads' but links like you just gave for file formats won't open from the saved files.

OpenCPN manual online is located at http://opencpn.org/ocpn/opencpn_manual

The notation file:///usr/local/share/opencpn/doc/help_en_US.html#Chart%20Formats is access the manual that is on the USB stick in the Linux world only.
