I am trying to set up the junk mail filter in Sylpheed, Configuration-Common Preferences-Junk Mail. Enable Junk Mail Control is checked.
When I click on the Junk button, I get a popup:
"Error: Execution of the junk filter command failed. Please check the junk mail control setting."
I have tried using bogofilter, bsfilter and sylfilter.
What other things can I try to get it to work?

The 'junk filters' are external applications that need to be installed and set up. You'll find them in the Package Manager.
I don't know what you are trying to do, but you might have better success with setting some filter rules which don't rely on externals.

Thanks
I used the Package Manager to download sylfilter and it is working now, although I have not tested getting messages with the filter yet.
The Junk button is very easy to use, I prefer it to setting up filters.
