I like to have some advise on the installation of the latest system NX 0.5 June 2015

I have a previouse insatllatione of NX on a 3 partition system on my computer on board. I have the home directory on a separate partition. How I can now istall the latest version of NX 0.5 on the computer without getting all files deleted. So I can use all old settings again.

Hope it will be possible
Great job done for us sailors, thanks

It is possible, it's even easier when /home is on it's own partition.

For this to work you need to select Something Else

Then install the file systems to the partitions you wish. Formatting only the root (/) partition, and not formatting your /home partition, unless you really do want to delete everything.

If this is not clear enough, let me know....

Hello Moe,

I have successfully installed the new version without messing up the home directory on the separate partition. Some of the previous installed Software has to be reinstalled. Here again the problem with the Manta menu. Some of the categories disappeared completely. Had to do the trick again with the guest user to create new menus. Last years distribution has the same problem. The rest functioning fine, thanks to the team. If someone can look into this problem it would be perfect.
