I am using a Digitus USB to Rs 232 converter to connect to my Pactor Modem. Somehow I can't get that working. I do have drivers for Linux, but there seems to be no facility to install them. Any ideas? |

The drivers need to compiled. I found the drivers shipped with the Windows drivers are incomplete. I used the Linux driver archive from Digitus: http://ftp.assmann.com/pub/DA-/DA-70146-1___4016032265399/DA-70146-1_driver_linux-1.0.0_20101202.tar.gz Unpack the archive in Downloads; open a terminal: Change to the working directory Code: cd Downloads/libftd2xx1.0.0/libusb-1.0.8 Configure the buildCode: ./configure Make the buildCode: make Install...Code: sudo make install See if that does the trick. |
