This looks more like a Stellarium problem.

Otherwise, you had to build from the source code, add additional packages to do this. (Packages that break other packages, btw.)

I made a few attempts to see what is wrong, but I was spending all my time speculating. I mean, you had to rub your belly and pat your head to make this from source. A clue about what you did would be nice.

It's hard telling what you did, and what you did wrong, other than break a working application for unknown reasons.

Check your build and settings, and refer to their latest instructions, http://stellarium.org/wiki/index.php/Compilation_on_Linux

Where did you find the deb packages? They are not in the repositories and Stellarium doesn't offer them (http://sourceforge.net/projects/stellar ... p_redirect)

...but the navigational starts were already in Navigatrix, (or easily added if you had an old version. See above.)

My guess is ...no, I haven't got enough information to even guess.

Have a make problem that is OS and/or hardware related. Perhaps I can use live session Navigatrix on other computer.
Have used Stellarium packs from https://launchpad.net/~stellarium/+arch ... m-releases for
Ubuntu 14.04 however that that error showed up that i have screenshot from in earlier post. Installed packes and their dependencies whit gdebi.
I still think that Stellarium 0.13.1 or later version stable whit navigational stars plugin is some thing for coming releases of Navigatrix. Navigational Stars plugin to start at Stellarium (planetarium) start up. Can coexist whit current solution that is a mod of Western sky-culture. I have tested that on a laptop that runs win 7 32bit.

Did you successfully install all the packages? ...especially the 3 auxiliary packages?

Uninstall 0.13.1, and then install again. If you get an error OTHER THAN AUTHENTICATION you need to find out what that error is.

Succsede whit build on more powerful computer in live session (running navigatix from dvd disc). I made simple binery package .deb package on that computer. The transfer of files to older computer worked well but install was i bit of a mess. Use make install on alredy made package on old computer, got link problem. I tried install from deb package (built from simple binary package), that filed. created folder nx in home and in nx folder Desktop to get exact pahtways then try make install agin and it failed. Can be because of difference in navigatirx versions and hardware. Extract from simple binary package was successfully but i needed to edit planetarium file in usr/local/bin
Code:
#!/bin/bash
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/opt/Qt5.4.0/5.4/gcc/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH##/opt/Qt5.4.0/5.4/gcc/lib:}"
cfg=/home/$USER/.stellarium/data/user_locations.txt
echo >$cfg -e "Navigatrix GPS Location\t\tAutomatic\t\x00\t147127\t"$(cat /etc/nx.lat)"\t"$(cat /etc/nx.lon)"\t3\t2\t\tEarth\t"
stellarium

That worked but i got a problem whit xcb plugin for Qt.
Quote:
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "xcb".

Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
/usr/local/bin/planetarium: line 6: 8419 Aborted stellarium

Is going to try install Stellarium .debs for Ubuntu 14.04 agin and test if this
Code:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/opt/Qt5.4.0/5.4/gcc/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH##/opt/Qt5.4.0/5.4/gcc/lib:}"
in planetarium file solves Qt5 problems.

If I remeber correctly verions 0.13 and later of Stellarium has higer OpenGL requierments and are less sutible for Navigatrix.
I was looking in to this issue and found that version 0.12.6 has NavStars plugin (Navigational Stars plugin)
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~stellarium ... /NavStars/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/stella ... es/0.12.6/
Can That be the soulution to this thing for Navigatrix?
Backporting is it called i find it intresting, i thoght of something like that. How can i install version 0.12.6 on navigatrix myself?

Seemes like it's Possible to install from deb pacages for ubuntu12.04.1
Download stellarium-data_0.12.6-1ubuntu1~ppa0~ubuntu12.04.1_all.deb and stellarium_0.12.6-1ubuntu1~ppa0~ubuntu12.04.1_i386.deb

real-time photo-realistic sky generator
Stellarium renders 3D photo-realistic skies in real-time. With Stellarium, you
really see what you can see with your eyes, binoculars or a small telescope.
 .
 Some features:
  - default star catalogue with over 600 thousand stars,
  - information about the brightest stars (spectral type, distance, etc.),
  - downloadable star catalogue extensions, for up to 210 million stars,
  - all New General Catalogue (NGC) objects,
  - images of almost all Messier objects and the Milky Way,
  - real time positions of the planets and their satellites,
  - 13 different cultures with their constellations,
  - artistic illustrations of the 88 Western constellations,
  - very realistic atmosphere, sunrise and sunset,
  - 7 panoramic landscapes (more can be made or downloaded from the website),
  - scripting with ECMAScript,
  - plug-in support: Stellarium comes with 8 plug-ins by default, including:
  - artificial satellites plug-in (updated from an on-line TLE database),
  - ocular simulation plug-in (shows how objects look like in a given ocular),
  - Solar System editor plug-in (imports comet and asteroid data from the MPC),
  - telescope control plug-in (Meade LX200 and Celestron NexStar compatible).
 .
Stellarium should not be used for very high accurate calculation or ephemerids
like eclipse predictions. However, it is the ideal program to prepare an
observation evening with naked eye, binocular, or small telescope.

Start planetarium/stellarium as usual by clicking the icon in startbar. press F2 or cklick configuration window icon in stellarium.
select the plugin tab and select Navigational Stars, check option Load at upstart. Do that for another plugin for example Compass Marks.
Just select Load at upstart for Navigational Stars and then exit program and start again can cause problem (Segmentation fault (core dumped)).

Code:
