Hello,

It seems some troubles appears when trying to go on page :
[url]navigatrix.net/nx0.5/[/url]
I'm redirected to :
https://earth.nullschool.net/

A few days before, trying to go on Navigatrix from France or China (for a friend of mine) was returning "error 500".

Crash, attack on your server or something wrong ?

There was an attack on the server. It was mostly just a PITA. But while the site was down and being untangled, David upgraded the phpBB framework that's underneath.

The re-direct can be removed:

gksudo medit /usr/lib/firefox/mozilla.cfg

Comment out line #3 with a # The file should look like:

Save and exit. Select your startup options through the Firefox browser Edit> Preferences> General

OK, attack to the server.
But the adress redirecting Nx to this page or app is nice and - in my mind - interesting for voyager.

Actually I put the redirect on purpose because it's very handy to have the current wind and waves on screen. The main reason to have the Firefox start page is to have a possibility to easaly make aware of important anouncements. After all its just the start page. The error 500 has nothing to do with the redirect. It's just because our server beeing overloaded. It has been offline for a couple of days because of a hack and now the people that could not download over the last days try to do it now.

Ok, I understand perfectly now.

Some friends of mine and on the french navigators/sailors "Hisse et Oh" was disappointed by time to download and errors when trying to download.
On my side, in case of problems like this attack, I have a copy of Nx last version in the cloud for friends.
It was useful two day ago
